Every since Nikki was a little girl, she had a natural love for the beauty industry and a love for making others feel their best. It wasn't long before she knew this was her calling. By working in top salons and spas, extensive training in custom blend cosmetics and a degree in fashion merchandising, Nikki knows what it takes to totally cater to her clients. Each client receives top notch service, and leaves confidently with a look they can truly call their own.
Passing The Knowledge
Nikki doesn't just keep her secrets to herself--No way! Her main passion is passing the knowledge of her experience and skill, onto the next aspiring MUA (MakeUpArtist). Whether you are a working makeup artist looking to keep up with the latest trends and application techniques, or a complete beginner, Nikki Jay will teach you the tricks of the trade in a way you are SURE to grasp, giving you the confidence you need to take your makeup skills the next level! Instructional sessions are offered in a group or one-on-one setting. Corporate/business training on image and makeup application are also available!
Community Work
Many of us, as well as our loved ones, have been struck by economic hardship; once having the security of a job, to all of a sudden having that security ripped away. To some, this may be the catalyst needed to start that dream business, but to most, losing their job means loosing their livelihood, or even their hope. Gaining the confidence to get back into the workforce again can produce mountains of stress, and can even be frightening! Knowing this, Nikki found herself asking,"What can I do?"
That is when she stumbled upon the "Style Me Hired" makeover show. Style Me Hired gives free makeovers to men and women who are temporarily out of the workforce and are seeking employment (from the website).
For the past 2 years, Nikki has worked along side the Style Me Hired team and creator, Mark Voci, using her skills and knowledge of the beauty industry, to impart optimism and confidence into these talented individuals--one makeover at a time. During the span of this time, hundreds of FREE head-to-toe makeovers to the unemployed have been given! Seeing a little piece of hope come over each individuals face during, and after the process, reminds her of the power of what one awesome makeover can do.
